Specifications: The APV1122S is a photovoltaic (photodiode array) MOSFET driver optocoupler in a compact SOP-4 surface-mount package. It features a standard 8µA output short-circuit current (Isc) and 8V open-circuit voltage (Voc) when driven by its 0.5mA forward current (IF). The input LED exhibits a typical forward voltage (Vf) of 1.2-1.4VDC. The device provides reliable 2500Vrms electrical isolation and a high isolation resistance of 10^10Ω. Its switching times are 230µs (turn-on) and 30µs (turn-off), making it suitable for medium-speed switching applications. Rated for industrial environments, it operates from -40°C to 85°C.
Application Scenarios: This optocoupler is ideal for driving small-signal MOSFETs or the gates of IGBTs in low-power, isolated circuits. It is extensively used in solid-state relay (SSR) modules, as an isolated gate driver for AC-DC converters and off-line switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), and in battery management systems (BMS) for safely enabling/discharging paths, where its combination of isolation, compact size, and sufficient drive capability meets critical design needs.
