Specifications & Application Scenarios
Specifications: The APV1123S is a photovoltaic MOSFET driver optocoupler with a higher 12V open-circuit voltage. Similar to the APV1122S, it provides 8µA of short-circuit current from a 0.5mA LED drive, an input Vf of 1.2-1.4VDC, and 2500Vrms isolation. Its switching performance is identical, with 230µs turn-on and 30µs turn-off times. Housed in an SOP-4 package, it is designed for reliable operation across the -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature range.
Application Scenarios: The higher 12V output voltage makes this variant particularly suitable for driving MOSFETs that require a higher gate-source voltage (Vgs) to achieve full enhancement and lowest Rds(on). It is an excellent choice for high-side switches in isolated DC-DC converters, for driving the series MOSFETs in telecom protection circuits, and in medical equipment where a higher gate drive voltage ensures robust and predictable switching in safety-critical isolated power stages.
